| The Hotel Rambagh palace is one of the finest Hotels to be found in India, and is often referred to as the jewel of Jaipur. | The palace was originally built in 1865 for the Queen's favorite handmaiden and was later refurbished as a royal guest house and a hunting lodge and became home to the Jaipur royal family to the year 1957, when maharajah Sawai Man Singh II converted the royal palace into a hotel. Today under the internationally acclaimed Taj group of hotels the palace has become known as the 'Taj Rambagh Palace'. The Royal Hotel stands proudly at the Bhawanai Singh Road in Jaipur, approximately 11 km from the airport and 4 km from the railway station. This magnificent hotel lies over 47 acres of tranquil landscaped gardens, it is closely located to the walled 'Pink City', spectacular forts and the shopping bazaars of Jaipur. | The palace offers 79 rooms including aesthetically restored suites which were the former chambers of the maharajah.
