| The Samode was originally built as a private residence of the Samode Royal family 150 years ago by Rawal Sheo Singhji, a Prime minister in the Jaipur court and in 1985 it was lovingly converted into a boutique hotel; it is a perfect example of Rajput Mughal architecture. The Hotel faces North away from the burning Rajasthan sun and features a specially constructed Elephant ramp at the entrance created in the 1940's for the marriage ceremony of the late Rawal Sahib's aunt. |

| The building presents a progression of highly detailed courtyards found on varying levels that take guests from private quarters to public areas, the hotel features the most beautiful frescoes and mirror work which have been superbly restored to bring together elements of contemporary style, functionality and luxury with traditional Rajasthani influence and design. |
The hotel boasts 43 rooms in total and they are divided into the following categories Royal Suites, Deluxe Suites and Deluxe Rooms. All of the rooms are spacious and provide for their guests balconies or patios, each room individually designed using warm colours and the rich textures of local Rajasthani hand block print textiles. The rooms are high ceilinged boasting antique ceiling fans, the floors are created out of intricate marble and mosaic and covered in cotton woven rugs or "durries".
Antique furniture punctuates the room and surrounds sumptuous four poster beds, swathed in silks, and opulent fabrics which creates a completely indulgent environment for the privileged guests. The Royal suites are huge and have a private courtyard, Jacuzzi and fireplace perfect for the cooler evenings. |

The buffet features local Rajasthani fare, Asian dishes and European specialities. |
| The central courtyard offers a wonderfully exotic ambiance housing a marble fountain blessing the scene with a soothing sound, the ornately tile courtyard is dotted with large earthenware pots proudly boasting leafy palms, that surround round tables, dressed in colourful table clothes and circled by intricately detailed iron work chairs. A delicious a la carte menu is served to cater for all tastes. The pool area offers a deliciously cool oasis of blue and green where wooden and canvas chairs surround square tables on the terrace and light snacks and delicious cocktails may be enjoyed. |

It is here that the outdoor Jacuzzi is placed and steps away from the pool bar where the masterful bar tender produces innovative concoctions that compliment the dreamy situation.
